Polly McCaul
LLPC, CAADC-DP

Polly joined Divine Mind Counseling and Consulting in early 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience from 6 years in therapy practice, 15 years in recovery services, and decades acting as a Chaplin and first responder. Polly is a graduate of Cornerstone University's Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Counseling. Polly spent the first part of her career as a first responder working as a fire Lieutenant and emergency services dispatcher. Polly is expertly and uniquely trained in treating the trauma, both primary and secondary, that impacts first responders. She is trained in both immediate crisis response and post-traumatic growth models and is near completion of her certified advanced addiction and drug counselor certification (CAADC). Polly comes with an absolutely unmatched level of first hand understanding of the challenges faced by first response workers.

Polly is accepting, nonjudgmental, and will met you where you are. Her therapeutic style is born from the understanding of what a first responder actually needs, and the knowledge of the barriers that prevent you from seeking support. Polly is unmatched in her ability to meet you where you are, literally and emotionally. She has been where you are and knows where you want to be. Meeting with Polly you can be sure you will feel understood, heard, and accepted for who you are and what you need from the moment you meet. She creates a space without fear of judgement by peers, leaders, or unions. She is a separate space that allows you to open up to someone who has been there and truly gets it. Polly isn't just interested in first response treatment, she is invested in your healing.

When she's not wearing one of her many professional hats (seriously, she's done it all!), Polly can be found enjoying a Star Trek meet up, spending time with her grandchildren, or connecting with rescue animals.

Polly is accepting clients with private pay and insurance who are seeking support for first responder needs. She is not affiliated with any governing body and can guarantee full confidentiality and acceptance of your experience. Please reach out to her about her First Call program for first responders!
