My name is Polly McCaul. I am the Program Director/Counselor for the First Call Program here at Divine Mind Counseling and Consulting Services. I have over 35 years experience in various positions including:  “boots on the ground” Paramedic/IC, Firefighter, Lt. Training Officer, 911 ECO (Dispatcher), Reserve Deputy Sheriff, & an Armed Security Patrol Officer-FTO. I have also taken my Tier 1 training through the DOJ and can work with the military and VA patients, and do. 

As a retired First Responder, I can connect with you on your issues & concerns, whatever they may be. Not because I read it in a book, or have a relative who was a First Responder, but because I was (and always will be) a First Responder. I've had my share of OTJ trauma/PTSD, including the baggage that comes with the trauma sometimes; being an alcoholic (sober for over 15 yrs).

When I say, "I'll meet you where you're at", I mean it. I understand some people don't care to sit in an office & talk (especially First Responders and Veterans). It can be uncomfortable, & even triggering for some. Some may be more comfortable in the corner of a coffee shop, book store, or some other warm place in winter. Or in warmer weather, a park bench, a slow walk through the woods, a golf course, or even while fishing. We can accommodate that. Sometimes there is no better place to talk than with a fishing pole in hand! I am here to listen and to be a part of your team.
